Bicycle station

The project for a bicycle “smart mobility” station is a relatively unprecedented design task. The design path therefore went through a deep space planning process that led to a “system” - easily manageable by one person only - made of a central enclosed storage space, directly connected with a tune-up/shop area, beverages and food vending machines room, and various secondary facilities (storage, lockers, toilet etc.). The building is a mirror box that actually disappears during the day, reflecting the bikes parked around it, and at night it becomes a transparent “lantern” revealing  its content.
