This project for a private garden is
developed in a situation where the soil natural slope and the opening of the
site southwards allow a series of design opportunities. The design leit-motivis the zigzag-shaped wall whose height progressively increases while moving
towards the house entrance. This wall establishes the measure both for the
paving layout and for the planting. The paving is made of large triangular
stone slabs, where the presence of polished slabs provides a dynamic reflection
of sunlight. A Carpinusbetulushedge provides both a curtain from a large
apartment building and combined with Rosa caninashrubs as well as an
interesting contrast between the hornbeam trees and the dog rose red berries.
